| Which Kit?
There are a number of hardware options available to our customers.
To help you decide we have created a new one page online Shop which shows you your software choices and what hardware options you have.
Data collection can either be performed on a handheld or your laptop.
Using a Handheld is more expensive but it can be quicker and more convenient especially for stockrooms and cellars. Some people use handhelds for most of the stock and then a laptop for open bottles.
There are two choices of Handhelds:
- Unitech PA500 - You use the built in barcode reader and stylus for data entry. It also plugs into our USB scales. Priced from £595.95.
- Honeywell Dolphin 7600 - This also has a keypad which speeds up data collection considerably but is more expensive at £999.95.
For data collection on your Laptop we use the Socket Cordless Hand Scanners:
- Socket CHS 7E (Entry Level) - This requires good lighting and is OK for occasional use and is great value at £199.95.
- Socket CHS 7M (Mid-Range) and 7P (Professional) are better and handle dimmer lighting and barcodes on most surfaces. From £299.95.
For weighing open bottles or kegs we supply the following:
- Ohaus Scout Pro 6000 Scales with USB connector plugs into your laptop or Unitech PA500 allowing automatic weighing from £159.95.
- MyWeigh Heavy Duty Scales allow you to wiegh kegs and barrels up to 120kg. Our price £89.95.
We can also pre-install all software and tools on new laptops and have other options, please visit the Shop for more details. |
